Programme
Along Carl von Ghega's legendary southern railway line (Südbahnstrecke), the Semmering Railway leads over impressive viaducts from Vienna directly to the Semmering World Heritage Site. Traditional brass music welcomes you at the train station in Mürzzuschlag. Afterwards, you will learn about railway history on a guided tour through the Southern Railway Museum. Last year the Semmering Railway celebrated its 170th anniversary and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998.
