Every year Český Krumlov celebrates its historical old town with the festival of roses. Egon Schiele (1890 – 1918), one of most extraordinary Austrian expressionist painters, lived in Krumlov in 1911 and there created many unmistakable pictures of his mother´s hometown. These and other pieces of art can be admired in the Egon Schiele Art Centrum.
