Travelling in the Majestic Imperator –
Train de Luxe
he pace of the "Majestic Imperator"
Is slow and leisurely. One meets
at the gate, gets on board on a
red carpet, is greeted personally with a
glass of champagne, and simply steps into
another world. These are not functional
compartments with Internet access for the
laptop and telephones for conferences and
fast appointments -- it is a glittering world
with soft chairs and opulently bedecked
tables that await the traveler, who will
immediately feel at home.
As one guest said when entering a carriage:
“This is how one would like to live.”
The comfort and luxury of a seemingly
long-lost world have been resurrected;
upon entering the train one leaves everyday
routines behind but still retains plenty of
room for thoughts and dreams.
